"I nearly hit one of them, truthfully, it was incredibly risky"
Safety Concerns Raised
"Clearly there's been a failure in communication somewhere but I've never experienced that before, and I haven't really seen that in the past. It's completely unacceptable"
"We fail to grasp how on a ongoing race track track officials can be authorized to just run across the track like that. I don't understand the reason, I'm sure we'll get some kind of clarification, but this must never be repeated"
Governing Body Reviewing
The sport's regulatory authority, the global motorsport federation, is currently investigating the events
"After an occurrence at turn one, track officials was advised that wreckage remained on the track at the turning point of that curve" stated the regulatory authority
"In the third rotation, safety personnel were notified and put on alert to go onto the racing surface and recover the debris once all cars had passed"
"The moment it was realized that Lawson had entered the pits, the directives to deploy marshals were canceled and a safety warning flag was raised in that zone"
"The examination is ongoing what transpired subsequent to that time"
