Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Beach
A helicopter soaring over a well-attended southern California shoreline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and crashing into a row of palm trees as spectators observed.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin over the beach then descending in the direction of the border of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
